01 About TifBlair Centipede

The lawn for people
who don't want a lawn project.

TifBlair Centipede is what we recommend when the goal is "a decent lawn that doesn't need much" — not "the best lawn on the block."

TifBlair is an improved centipede grass that handles acidic Upstate SC soils naturally — which is critical, because most of our region sits on clay with a pH that struggles to support Bermuda or Zoysia without significant amendment. Centipede thrives in that soil chemistry.

It also wants almost nothing from you: one fertilization per year, low mowing frequency, minimal water once established. The trade-off is recovery — TifBlair doesn't repair wear quickly, so heavy traffic isn't its strength. For low-effort residential lawns in acidic soil, nothing else we carry is as forgiving.

03 How TifBlair Centipede gets installed

Same playbook,
every variety.

We don't change the install process based on the sod we're laying. Same prep, same standards, same outcome, whether it's TifTuf, Zeon, Fescue, or anything else in our lineup.

01
Site walk

We confirm TifBlair Centipede is right for your yard

Before we install anything, we walk the property to confirm sun, soil, and drainage are a fit. If something else would do better, we tell you.

02
Prep work

Old grass out, soil amended, grade corrected

We strip down to bare soil, amend where it's needed, and grade for drainage. This is the part that determines if your sod lasts two years or twenty.

03
Install day

Fresh-cut TifBlair Centipede, laid the same day

Sod arrives fresh that morning. Tight seams, staggered rows, rolled and compacted for solid soil contact. No sitting on pallets in the sun.

04
Aftercare

Walk-through before we leave

We hand off a watering schedule, first-mow timing, and what to look for during establishment. You'll know exactly what to do for the first 30 days.

04 Other varieties we install
