The fine-bladed, carpet-like Zoysia. Premium feel, dense growth, and excellent partial-shade performance. A favorite for upscale lawns.
Zeon Zoysia is what we recommend when a homeowner wants that perfect-lawn look with reasonable maintenance — and partial shade in the mix.
Zeon is a fine-bladed Zoysia matrella developed for density, color, and texture. It feels like a carpet underfoot, holds rich color for most of the growing season, and grows slowly enough that mowing drops to about twice a month in peak summer.
It's also more forgiving than Bermuda in partial shade — making it the right pick for homes with mature trees, dappled sun, or mixed sun-and-shade zones. The trade-off is cost and establishment time: Zeon costs more upfront and takes a bit longer to root in. The result is worth it.
Zeon Zoysia is the right pick for premium-feel lawns with some shade. When those conditions match, nothing else we install will out-perform it.
We don't change the install process based on the sod we're laying. Same prep, same standards, same outcome, whether it's TifTuf, Zeon, Fescue, or anything else in our lineup.
Before we install anything, we walk the property to confirm sun, soil, and drainage are a fit. If something else would do better, we tell you.
We strip down to bare soil, amend where it's needed, and grade for drainage. This is the part that determines if your sod lasts two years or twenty.
Sod arrives fresh that morning. Tight seams, staggered rows, rolled and compacted for solid soil contact. No sitting on pallets in the sun.
We hand off a watering schedule, first-mow timing, and what to look for during establishment. You'll know exactly what to do for the first 30 days.
If your property doesn't fit, here's what else we carry. Each one is chosen for a specific set of conditions.
We install Zeon Zoysia across our full service area. Tap any city below to see neighborhoods we cover, or call us if you don't see your town.
